The American School of Classical Feng Shui

We are the Fast Track to Feng Shui Success!

Feng Shui enthusiasts from Brooklyn to Bogota think of just one name when they are serious about their Feng Shui education - The American School of Classical Feng Shui.  The American School of Classical Feng Shui offers The Feng Shui Mastery Program at two great New York locations - midtown Manhattan and upstate Binghamton.

The Feng Shui Mastery Program was established because of two unanswered needs.  There is a shortage of properly educated practitioners of authentic classical Feng Shui.  There are also many creative and spiritual individuals who have never been shown how to parlay their talents into an excellent career.

Interest in Feng Shui is rapidly growing across America – everyday, articles and TV programs talk about how this ancient Chinese science and art can bring about improvements in all areas of life – health, finances, relationships, and more.  Each day, more people seek the help of Feng Shui practitioners to modify their homes and workplaces so that their lives may experience positive change.  Today, most American practitioners are trained in non-traditional forms of Feng Shui.  Our focus on the traditional, or classical, form gives our graduates an important edge in the marketplace - our students are sometimes surprised to find that they have a “waiting list” of clients before they even graduate!

There are few schools of authentic classical Feng Shui anywhere in the world.  Those that exist are mostly far away, very expensive, or require lengthy courses of study.  The Feng Shui Mastery Program was created as a way to learn this complex science and art in a fraction of the time that it takes elsewhere, and at a fraction of the cost.  The two New York locations are easily accessible from the entire northeast.

Since opening in 2001, The American School of Classical Feng Shui has been a major success for the school itself, for our students, and for the clients of our graduates, many of whom report significant improvements in their lives and businesses.

Many of our students intend to practice Feng Shui professionally.  Others just want to correctly apply Feng Shui to their own homes and businesses.  Still others are interior designers, architects, or real estate professionals who know that a background in authentic Feng Shui is an excellent adjunct to their existing careers.  All of our students realize that authentic Feng Shui cannot be learned from books alone.  Much of the popular literature is contradictory, confusing, and even erroneous.  Most books do not go into the intricate formulas of authentic Feng Shui and, if they do, present the material such that the lay person finds it very difficult to apply.  The Feng Shui Mastery Program brings clarity to a complex field of study.

The study of Feng Shui can be a channel to reconnect with your innate spirituality! Some students find that they are talented healers; others create miracles in their own unique ways!

Our curriculum is intensive and highly effective.  We cover a great deal of material in each class, yet our classwork is always interesting and enjoyable.  We offer a high level of individual attention, and each student’s individual needs and learning style is respected.  Our commitment is to each student’s success!

The Feng Shui Mastery Program consists of ten classes given in two different formats.  Our program is offered in upstate Binghamton on five weekends, one weekend a month.  Our program is offered in New York City over two consecutive weeks, Monday to Friday each week.

Once our students graduate from our ten class Program, they have the opportunity to work towards Professional Certification.  The major steps to Professional Certification are passing a Certification Exam, and conducting three consultations in accordance with our prescribed format, including one house, one apartment and one business.

Graduates of The Feng Shui Mastery Program, who earn Professional Certification, have demonstrated an impressive level of competence.  This truly prepares them to open their own professional practices, ready to help others live happier, more successful, and healthier lives.

A Few of Our Past Graduating Classes

Summer 2006 Graduating Class

Our first program in New York City was an extreme success!  The enthusiasm of this class, along with our unique curriculum, created an atmosphere of learning and lots of fun!  It was apparent the very first morning that this class was brought together for reasons that go beyond the obvious - the friendships made in that class are still going strong many months later!

On March 20th, the seventh class of The American School of Classical Feng Shui graduated.

“It's been one of the best experiences of my life and I'm sad to see it end.” – Regina Alston

Most graduates of the School envision a new career earning a good living while helping others!  Some graduates learn Feng Shui for their personal benefit.  Others are in interior design, architecture, landscaping or real estate, and the program enhances their knowledge and credentials.

Feng Shui works with the energy or “chi” in buildings.  This “chi” influences our health, relationships, and finances. Classical Feng Shui uses ancient techniques to strengthen good energy and weaken negative energy.

Spring/Summer 2004 Graduating Class

"When I look at the future, it’s so bright, it burns my eyes!"

– Oprah Winfrey

On Sunday, September 12th, 2004, a graduating class of The American School of Classical Feng Shui enjoyed a sumptuous Chinese and Japanese buffet lunch at an area restaurant.  This class was the sixth and largest in the School’s three year history.  Despite the excitement of graduation day and the excellent dishes that were served, the lunchtime conversation centered around the restaurant itself.  This restaurant opened recently in a building where prior restaurants were not successful.  The graduates quickly located a number of Feng Shui problems and “afflictions”, both inside and outside the restaurant, that may have made it difficult to operate a successful business in that location.  They also noted that a number of recent changes had been made and “cures” implemented.  These showed that the restaurant management had some awareness of Feng Shui and that an attempt has been made to use Feng Shui principles to correct the problems affecting the restaurant.  There was an interesting discussion on whether the “cures” had been implemented in the best way and whether they would prove adequate to “fix” the negative features in and around the building.

Greater Binghamton residents and visitors know that the hills and valleys of our area hold many hidden gems, and one of these gems is The American School of Classical Feng Shui.  In all of North America, only a handful of schools offer training in the authentic classical Chinese form of Feng Shui and one of the most prominent, The American School of Classical Feng Shui, is right here in Greater Binghamton.  Why do students from far and wide travel to our corner of New York to study Feng Shui?  Because the education offered by The American School of Classical Feng Shui is not found anywhere else!  The School’s comprehensive curriculum is usually presented in 5 weekends, one weekend per month.  An innovative results-oriented teaching style combined with a great deal of individual attention and support, allows students to achieve a high level of competency in a very short period of time!

Feng Shui is energy work for buildings.  Closely associated with acupuncture or reiki, which works with the vital life energy or “chi” in the human body, Feng Shui works with the same “chi” in buildings.  The ancient Chinese discovered that the “chi” of the buildings where we live and work can influence our entire lives, including such critical areas as health, relationships, and finances. The classical, or traditional, form of Feng Shui uses techniques, methodologies, and formulas passed down from ancient Asia that can strengthen and maximize the good energy found in our homes and businesses, and weaken negative energy so it cannot cause us harm.

In its first three years, The American School of Classical Feng Shui has brought together a group of students whose diversity is nothing short of amazing.  Students representing many different ethnic backgrounds, from all parts of the northeastern United States and beyond, from city, country, small town and suburbs, have come to Greater Binghamton to study Feng Shui, each for their own reasons.  Most of the graduates plan to begin, or have already begun, their own professional Feng Shui practices.  Feng Shui is an excellent and fast-growing career field!  Some graduates only wish to practice Feng Shui on their own homes and businesses.  Others are in fields such as real estate, interior design, architecture, or landscape design, where a strong background in Feng Shui greatly enhances their professional credentials and their ability to help their clients.

New graduates receive a “Certificate of Completion”, attesting to the fact that they have completed the classroom portion of their Feng Shui education and are now prepared and qualified to proceed to their fieldwork experience.  Graduates who choose to proceed to Professional Certification, and the majority of graduates do, must submit three written consultations in accordance with the School’s standards, and must pass a Certification Exam.  Once a graduate completes the required fieldwork and passes the Exam, they are awarded Professional Certification.  Professional Certification by The American School of Classical Feng Shui means that an individual has demonstrated the level of expertise needed to responsibly begin the professional practice of authentic classical Feng Shui, and that they consistently display strong ethics and values in the practice of Feng Shui.  The certified graduate is then ready to begin their own professional practice and to build a career helping others live happier, more successful, and healthier lives.

For recent graduates and Certified Professionals alike, The American School of Classical Feng Shui offers a program of continuing education and support.  Twice a year, the School holds its Graduate Seminar and Review Day.  These events are occasions for alumni to renew old friendships, to share and discuss experiences using their Feng Shui education out in the world, to learn advanced formulas & techniques that are not part of the core program, to discuss the joys and challenges of developing their own professional practices, and to get answers to any and all of the Feng Shui-related questions, issues and problems that they have encountered.

When Feng Shui enthusiasts are ready to get serious, the name they think of is The American School of Classical Feng Shui in Greater Binghamton, Broome County, New York!
